Amalfi Coast.
Cruising from Sorrento and Positano along the Amalfi Coast, with day passages to Capri and the Sirenuse islands.
Overview
What to expect.
The Amalfi Coast is a forty-kilometre stretch of vertical cliff, pastel village and small harbour that defines the southern Italian charter experience. Embarkation runs from Marina di Stabia south of Naples or Porto di Salerno on the eastern end; the cruising itself is anchorage-based: Positano, Amalfi town, Praiano, Capri.
The season runs mid-May through early October. June and September consistently return the best balance of weather and crowding; August carries the largest fleet but the busiest anchorages. Onward cruising: Capri, the Pontine islands, the Aeolian islands, Sardinia. Is straightforward and standard for longer charters.
