Ibiza is the operational anchor of the Balearic charter season. Marina Ibiza and Marina Botafoch sit on either side of the inner harbour and between them handle the regional fleet: the choice between them comes down to yacht size and the first leg of the routing. The cruising itself is short-range and routing-flexible, with the Formentera anchorages an hour south and the wider Balearics within easy onward reach.

The Ibiza brief tends to take one of two shapes. The shorter format threads Ibiza with Formentera over five to seven nights, anchoring at Espalmador and Illetes and using the sea to step out of the crowds rather than into them. The longer format runs a full Balearic loop, extending north to Mallorca and on to Menorca, and rewards a slower itinerary that uses the shoulder weeks rather than the peak.

The season carries a clear rhythm. July and August hold the largest fleet and the busiest anchorages, and berthing through those weeks is best arranged well ahead. June and the September shoulders return the most rewarding cruising: calmer anchorages, lighter winds, and the routing options open. Ibiza also sits naturally within the wider western Mediterranean.
