Luxury here is set by the standard of service rather than the length of the yacht. A forty-metre motor yacht and a smaller performance sailing yacht can both be a luxury yacht charter; what makes them so is the calibre of the captain's planning, the discretion of the interior crew, and a proposal shaped to the brief rather than pulled from a catalogue. Where the brief is led by size rather than service, that is superyacht charter; the luxury sits in the handling either way.
Luxury yacht hire describes the same arrangement under a different name: a crewed yacht taken for a week or a season, with the cost, the contract and the provisioning set out plainly before anything is signed. What does not change is the standard of handling. - Can references be provided?

- What happens before the charter starts?
- The brokerage builds the brief with the principal, transmits it to the captain, and confirms the operational plan in the two to three weeks before embarkation. Most of the week's experience is set by that pre-charter planning.
- Is luxury yacht charter the same as superyacht charter?

- What is the difference between luxury yacht hire and chartering?
- None in practice. Luxury yacht hire is simply another name clients use for the same thing: a fully crewed yacht engaged for a defined period under a charter contract. The yacht, the crew and the provisioning are arranged in advance and the vessel is returned at the end of the term.
- What does a luxury yacht charter cost?
- It depends on the yacht, the season and the cruising ground. As a guide, crewed yachts in the 30 to 50 metre range run from around EUR 100,000 to EUR 400,000 per week, with the advance provisioning allowance and gratuity additional. The advisor sets out the full figure before anything is signed.
- Can the itinerary change once the charter has started?
- Yes. A luxury charter is run to absorb changes: the captain and the advisor plan to the brief but reshape the day to the weather, the guests and the mood. That flexibility is part of what the standard of service is for.
