A venue unlike any other in Dubai
Most event venues in Dubai stay where they are: a ballroom, a terrace, a beach club. A yacht moves. Guests board at the marina, the coastline passes by from Palm Jumeirah to the Burj Al Arab, and the event has a setting no other venue in the city can offer. For a brand, it is a stage; for a host, it is a guest list nobody else can join.
Balthazar Yachting has operated in Dubai since 2012, with our own crews. Brands, event planners and hosts work with one advisor who knows the yachts, the crews and what each of them can carry.
Events we host
Brand launches. A product unveiled on the aft deck at sunset, with branding, lighting and photography built around the moment.
Press and media events. A controlled setting for interviews, content and a small group of journalists or creators, with time on the water for the story to be told.
Receptions and gala dinners. A standing reception for a hundred guests or more, or a seated dinner under the lights of the skyline, on one of the larger yachts in the fleet.
Showcases and partner events. A private viewing for clients, partners or members, hosted by the brand on board, away from the noise of a public venue.
Events around the calendar. Boat Show week, Grand Prix week and New Year's Eve, when the city's most sought-after evenings are best seen from the water.
Underway or alongside
Some events are best at sea: the yacht cruises the coastline and anchors for the main moment. Others stay alongside at the quay, which suits larger guest lists, longer programmes and heavier production. The number of guests a yacht can carry differs between the two, and your advisor confirms both before the plan is set.
Production on board
- catering and beverage service, from canapés to a seated dinner;
- lighting, sound and screens;
- a DJ or live musicians;
- branding and set dressing, within the yacht's guidelines;
- photography and video;
- the guest list, arrivals and transfers.
Working with event planners
Agencies and in-house teams keep control of their event. We give them what they need to plan it: the yacht's layout and capacities, set-up and load-out timings, and a single contact on our side through to the last guest ashore. The crew runs the yacht and the service; the planner runs the event.
